Gerbil.
My first pet was a gerbil called Lucky whom I got from my Nursery teacher when I was 10 years old.
Lucky lived up to his name when a cat got into the house and knocked over his cage, he escaped and hide behind the oven.

Hamsters
Shorty and Fatso were two male dwarf hamsters which I got from a pet shop.
Heidi, Nora and Dora were Robovoski dwarf Hamster which I got from 'Pets at home' and for such tiny hamsters they had tonnes of energy and speed.
Nora developed a tumour and was on daily antibiotics and loved to entertain the vet staff by running as fast as she could on her wheel then stopping which would cause her to be thrown across the cage, she would then run to her wheel and start again.
Penny a Syrian hamster.

Rabbits
My first rabbit was Hopper.
I adopted Marshmallow and Socks from 'Starlights Rabbit Rescue' in Essex.
Socks and Marshmallow lived happily together for a year but they fought and had to be separated. Marshmallow had wounds that had to be treated and both bunnies had Stasis on separate occasions.

Degu's
I adopted Morris, Alf and Ben last year from a friend of my sisters. They arrived in a cage which was far to small so I built them a new one.
Unfortunately Ben died of cancer at the end of May 2013.

Cats and dogs
I feed, walked and gently handled the rescue dogs while they were looking for their forever home
My Mum took in a lodger for a few months who had a cat. The lodger asked me to look after her cat as it had taking a liking to me and she wasn't in much. I followed her feeding routine by feeding her cat 1/2 a can of cat food twice a day and spend a lot of time with her giving plenty of hugs and strokes.
